CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal Facilitating Digital and Paperless Disbursement
To ensure a transparent and efficient refund process, the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal (https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in) was launched on July 18, 2023.
The portal enables genuine depositors of four Multi-State Cooperative Societies of the Sahara Group to submit their claims digitally. These societies include Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Lucknow, Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd., Bhopal, Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Kolkata and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd., Hyderabad.
The entire refund process is digital and paperless, monitored under the supervision of Justice R. Subhash Reddy (Former Supreme Court Judge) with assistance from Shri Gaurav Agrawal, Amicus Curiae. Applications are being processed transparently, with depositors required to submit valid identity proof and deposit records for verification.
Currently, depositors are being refunded up to Rs 50,000 against verified claims through Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. If any deficiencies are found in an application, depositors are notified and can resubmit their applications via the resubmission portal launched on November 15, 2023.
