Sahakar Bharati has called a meeting of Chairmen, CEOs & MDs and Directors of Urban Cooperative Banks at ITAMMA Auditorium, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai. Besides Maharashtra, co-operators from many states including Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh are participating in the conference.
The speakers include Sahakar Bharati, President, Ramesh Vaidya, RBI Director Satish Marathe, Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta, Sahakar Bharati National General Secretary Uday Joshi and others.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, Satish Marathe said that the meeting is aimed at assuring the ucb sector that all is not lost yet, he said hinting at the demoralization set in the sector post PMC fraud.
In fact the leaders of Sahakar Bharati and Nafcub have decided to tour various parts of the country meeting co-operators from ucb sector and instilling in them a sense of confidence.
On the side lines of the IICTF trade fair, Uday Joshi informed this correspondent, “The meeting will be attended by large number of cooperators and during the day several issues related to UCBs will be discussed at length. UCBs are affected by the current sluggishness in the economy and we will discuss the problem.
More than 150 delegates are expected to participate in the event. Sahakar Bharati is active in 27 states with more than 460 districts spread across the country.
