Sahakar Bharti organized a lecture series on the occasion of the centenary celebration of Sahakar Bharti founder and source of inspiration Late Laxmanrao Inamdar in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Sahakar Bharti National Secretary Vijay Dewangan welcomed the Udaipur constituency MP Arjun Lal who was chief guest in the function.
In his speech, Dewangana said cooperatives are playing an important role in improving the life of poor people especially those living in rural areas. The cooperative sector is the only sector in India that worked for the upliftment of the poor, he added.
The lecture was presided over by Sahakar Bharti Chittor president Shanti Lal Sharma who shared his views on the importance of cooperatives.
Readers would note that, earlier during the centenary celebration Sahakar Bharti Patron Satish Marathe said ” we will remember his contributions in strengthening Sahakar Bharti as well as the cooperative movement generally by organizing seminars and other activities in different states of the country throughout the year”.
