Sahakar Bharati leaders greeted the first National President of Sahakar Bharati Vasantrao Deopujari for completing 95 years and turning 96 years old.
His felicitation was done at his home at Nagpur by the office-bearers of Maharashtra Chapter of Sahakar Bharati.
Sharing his role in expansion and growth of Sahakar Bharati across India, RBI Central Board Director Satish Marathe said, “He lived simple, always traveled light and established excellent rapport with all cooperators-new ones & veterans, young & old”.
“Even at 96, he remains young at heart and is always eager to know and keep himself informed about the activities of SB. He remains a source of inspiration for all SB Karyakartas. SB Nagpur unit deserves special kudos for felicitating him on his 96th birthday”, he added.
He was an active worker of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, he was also on the Board of various co-operative organizations such as Vidarbha Premier Housing Society, P.N.T Audit office co-op Society, P.M.G. office staff co-op society, Akhil Bhartiya Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, Vivekananda Medical Mission-Khapri.
