Union Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala will inaugurate the newly built Students Hostel of Vamnicom on today on Friday. The inauguration will be done virtually at 4.15 P.M.
Rupala is going to dedicate the hostel to the students of PGDM-ABM. The newly built three storey hostel building, named as Students’ Hostel, is a furnished Hostel with 50 rooms. This hostel has an accommodation capacity of 100 students”.
“Each room has been provided with an attached Toilet-cum-Bathroom. In addition to this, a dining facility with 100 seating capacity, a fully furnished Gymnasium at the second floor and two lifts with 13-person capacity of each have been provided”, press release sent by Vamnicom reads.
The hostel has been constructed with special attention to facilities for specially-abled people too. Fire safety safeguards have been provided in the Hostel. CPWD with the help of its team of expert construction engineers has made this hostel within the stipulated time frame even when the world is struggling with COVID 19″.
As a fully residential facility – PGDM-ABM has the best possible educational infrastructure in the downtown of Pune City. At present, students were accommodated in two hostels viz. Godavari Boys Hostel (72 boys in 36 rooms) and Indrayani Girls Hostel (32 girls in 16 rooms) on twin sharing basis and in a few residential quarters. VAMNICOM’s focus on building quality infrastructure has witnessed initiation of several construction projects within the sprawling campus of the institute, the press release says.
Besides, the Institute offers two years residential Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Agri Business & Management (PGDM-ABM) programme from the year 1993. The PGDM-ABM programme was approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi from the year 1993.
The PGDM-ABM programme is recognised as equivalent to MBA Degree by Association of India Universities, New Delhi from the year 2001 and it has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi from the year 2015 to till June 2022. So far 26 batches have been successfully passed out from VAMNICOM.
