Rupala asks co-ops to adopt Amul model

PTI reports Union minister Parshottam Rupala recently called upon oilseeds bodies to emulate the Amul cooperative model and help the country lessen its dependence on imports in edible oil.

The minister said this while launching the Dhara sunflower oil brand packaged by Bengaluru-based oilseeds cooperative KOF.

It is worth mentioning that Karnataka Cooperative Oilseeds Growers’ Federation (KOF) has been re-engaged for custom packing of sunflower oil brand of Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd (MDFVPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NDDB, after a long time.

The minister also launched the NDDB’s Enterprise Resource Planning Software for cooperatives on the occasion.
