In an written reply Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said, under Computerization of PACS Project an amount of Rs 25.45 crore has been released to the State of Karnataka as first installment of central share for computerization of 5,491 PACS for all the districts of Karnataka, including Belagavi and aspirational districts.
“In addition to the above, cumulatively an amount of Rs 3247.19 crores has been disbursed as loan and subsidy to the State of Karnataka by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) as on 20.03.2023”, he added.
Shah further said, “A total of 167 projects have been sanctioned by NABARD under Special Refinance Facility for transformation of PACS as Multi Service Cooperatives (MSC) in Belagavi DCCB”.
Besides, A total of Rs. 19.98 lakhs has been provided by NCDC as financial assistance in Belagavi District to Shri Jijamata Mahila Audyogik Sahakari Sangh Niyami for Agro Processing under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME).
