According to the Free Press Journal reports, the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court said Registrar (Co-Operative Societies) cannot dissolve the board of directors of a society just because six out of 12 members resigned. The court said their resignations were not accepted.
According to the court, the Registrar acted in a hurry passing the order. The court called the registrar’s action ‘premature’.
The petition had been filed by the chairman of the society.
