A high level Committee formed by the J&K govt to carry out a detailed review of the existing Cooperative Laws including J&K Cooperative Societies Act 1989 and J&K Self Reliant Cooperative Act 1999 has interacted with stakeholders at the office of the Registrar Cooperative Societies, J&K, reports Scoop News.
Sources said the committee had discussions with stakeholders on the issues of strengthening the cooperative movement in the State and bringing in necessary amendments in the J&K Cooperative Laws.
The stakeholders that interacted with the panel included Managing Committees, Chief Executive Officers of Cooperative Banks, members of the Employees Unions of Cooperative Department, members of Various Cooperative Societies, Managers / office bearers of Cooperative Marketing Societies, members of Poultry Cooperative Societies and others.
