The three endangered district central cooperative banks at Nagpur, Wardha and Buldhana in Maharashtra would not be out of harm’s way because the RBI has decided not to revive these ailing banks.
The apex bank says any attempt to put them back on the rails would only engender further complications. And the RBI adds there is no scope for reviewing the order as the present banking regulation Act does not provide for it.
Earlier the cooperative banks had filed a case and the court had decided to hear it in the first week of October.
