In the ongoing elections of Maharashtra-based Ratnagiri District Cooperative Bank, out of 21 seats of board of directors nine have already been elected unopposed. This came to light as soon as the list after scrutiny was released.
Those elected unopposed include the outgoing Chairman Dr. T.L.Chorage, Vice-Chairman BG Jadhav, and other six directors Besides, so far the only newcomer is Rambhau Garate but the whole picture would be clear when the final list after withdrawals will be published.
The elections are slated for 19th November and the candidates can withdraw their names till 10th November 2021. The conjecture is that the election might be held only for 7-8 seats. More than 900 voters are eligible to cast their votes in the election.
The directors from the outgoing board elected unopposed include, Sudhir Kalekar (Shiv Sena), Jayawant Jalgavkar, Rajendra Surve, Deepak Patwardhan, and others.
