Computers of Mercantile Cooperative bank in Thiruvanthapuram recently suffered a ransomware attack damaging its computers. The cyber-police say the malware is from overseas, reports New Indian Express.
A source says a computer and main server have been damaged by the virus. However, the cyber police claims as the attack was not so serious, not many important files had been corrupted.
It is reported that several offices and establishments in the state have suffered such malware attacks in the past.
