Daily Pioneer reports Punjab Cooperation Minister, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa met Union Agriculture and. Cooperation Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and discussed how to strengthen the Sugarfed so as to ensure the welfare of the sugarcane farmers.
The Punjab minister urged the central govt to help the state in computerization of primary agricultural cooperative societies.
He also urged the Union Minister to give priority to the sugar sector and special funds should be given by NCDC for renovation of sugar mills of the State.
