Punjab Cooperation Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, who is heading a 11-member to overhaul the working of Markfed and Cooperative Marketing Societies in the state, held a l meeting with some MLAs and senior officers of the department.
After taking stock of the ground realities at the Markfed headquarters in Chandigarh, Randhawa issued guidelines to officers.
Earlier, Punjab Government has formed a Board chaired by Cooperation Minister Randhawa to tackle the problems of Markfed and Cooperative Marketing Societies in the state, reports Punjab News Express.
It is an 11-member board. Senior govt officials are the members of the board including Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Kalpana Mittal Baruah.
