In a major reshuffle, Manju Rajpal, a 2000-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, was appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Cooperation Department, as well as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Rajasthan, on Thursday.
Rajpal replaced Suchi Tyagi as the Principal Secretary, Cooperation and Archana Singh as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Tyagi has been transferred to the Transport Department, while Singh has been appointed Secretary, Department of Information Technology & Communication, Rajasthan.
Before her new role, Rajpal served as the Commissioner of the Jaipur Development Authority. She has also worked with the Department of Rural Development and held the position of District Magistrate (DM) of Ajmer.
In another significant appointment, Shruti Bhardwaj, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been named the Managing Director of the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited, Jaipur. Previously, she served as the District Collector and District Magistrate of Deeg. Bhardwaj replaces Sushma Arora, who has been transferred to the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation.
