Rajasthan is roiled because Nabard will provide only 40 per cent refinance to cooperative banks in the State, reports Hindu.
Rajasthan cooperative minister said Rajasthan’s cooperative institutions’ financial situation is extremely bad and therefore Nabard should increase the refinance facility and make available financial assistance to cooperative banks on concessional rates in the state.
The Minister said Rajasthan is one of the leading states in disbursement of interest-free crop loans to farmers. The state has plans for giving loans worth Rs.13,000 crore to farmers this year and has already disbursed Rs.8,0000 crore worth of loans to over 20 lakh farmers during the kharif season, minister said.
