Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that according to the National Cooperative Database, 7664 PACS, 52 Cooperative Banks, (StCBs-1, DCCBs-29, UCBs -22) 598 Credit & Thrift Societies and 21816 Cooperative Societies are registered in Rajasthan.
“Out of which, 396 PACS, 4 Cooperative banks, (DCCBs-2, UCBs -2) 45 Credit & Thrift Societies and 655 Cooperative Societies are registered in Jhalawar-Baran, Rajasthan”, he said while giving a reply to a query raised by a Lok Sabha MP.
He further added, “An online portal developed by National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) and National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India Limited (NCCF) have been launched for registration, procurement and payment for Maize and pulses from the farmers”, he said.
“This will facilitate the farmers to sell their produce minimum at MSP to NAFED and NCCF on their e-portal in advance and get the payment through DBT”, Shah said.
