Hindu reports Rajasthan govt’s plan to set up at least one agro-processing plant in each district of the state focused on marketing coupled with the decision to earmark 25 percent higher crop loans during the kharif season will raise the quantum of the cooperative sector’s financial help to farmers.
An amount of ?500 crore had been allocated in the Apex Cooperative Bank for the purpose.
The source added that facilities such as online registration of loan applications and solar power connections at the cooperative banks and societies will quicken the pace of distribution of loans to farmers.
