In a bid to align with the state government, the leading bank of Maharashtra- Raigad District Cooperative Bank has implemented ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ for enrolling the women and providing them with benefits like insurance and pension.
The bank will organize camps in the district to facilitate women to avail benefits under this scheme. Under the scheme, women in the age group of 21 to 65 years will get Rs 1500 per month.
The bank has decided to open new accounts of women with zero balance. Raigad DCCB CEO Mandar Vartak has appealed to women customers to contact their nearest branch to avail benefits under this scheme.
The bank has achieved a business mix of more than Rs 6000 crore, with a significant contribution from women in the district. Raigad DCCB has 61 branches in the district, with over 3 lakh women having savings accounts.
The bank has also been providing benefits to account holders under various schemes like PM Kisan, PM Jeevan Jyoti, and Jeevan Suraksha.
