Congress leader Rahul Gandhi got bail in the defamation case brought against him by Ajay Patel the chairman of Ahmedabad District Cooperative Bank, reports Indian Express.
The Court will hear the matter again in early September.
The main allegation against Rahul is he had claimed that the bank was involved in swapping Rs. 750 crore in scrapped notes with valid currency during demonetization. It is worth mentioning that Amit Sah Home Minister of India is a director of the bank.
