Owner of brand Amul, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has notched a place in the global ranking by becoming the first Indian dairy firm to enter in the global top 20 list released by Rabobank.
An upbeat MD of the dairy co-op titan R S Sodhi tweeted “GCMMF (Amul) enters the Rabobank’s Global Top 20 Dairy Companies list for the first time at No.16. This is a matter of pride for 36 lac milk producers of Gujarat.”
Thanking Gujarat govt and especially the Chief Minister Sodhi in his next tweet says that this achievement was possible due to their constant support.
His tweet read “For all this tremendous growth credit also goes to Govt of Gujarat @CMOGuj @vijayrupanibjp for supporting 36 lacs farmers during difficult times by giving timely export incentives and Infrastructure funding @Amul_Coop.”
Some of Sodhi’s followers also took to social media to congratulate the GCMMF. “Congratulations for the prestigious ranking Amul deserves it”, wrote one of them.
Another one said “Today we used panchamrut product by amul; Creative idea”.
