According to the Hindu reports, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called Central agencies, especially ED, out for carrying out politically motivated probes against the State’s cooperative sector banks.
Inaugurating a seminar on protecting the cooperative sector on Monday, the chief minister said the state would resist the ED and prevent it from destroying Kerala’s cooperative banking sector.
According to him, cooperative banks have deposits to the tune of Rs 2.5 lakh crore and are managed professionally.
Meanwhile, Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan alleges that Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family are involved in multiple cases of corruption but govt. depts are hiding information from him.
He has failed to get information on the repayment by Kerala State Rubber Cooperative Ltd (Rubco) to the state government. The Congress MLA calls it a violation of his rights as an MLA.
