Addressing a webinar organized by a media house, Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha Member Suresh Prabhu reiterated his commitment to the idea of establishing a Cooperative Development Forum (CDF) on Tuesday.
The formation of CDF will not only boost cooperatives but also strengthen the rural economy, he added.
The webinar was attended by NAFCUB Chairman Jyotindra Mehta, RBI Central Board Director Satish Marathe, Pune Peoples’ Cooperative Bank Chairman CA Janardan Randive and others.
The forum is likely to be chaired by Suresh Prabhu. IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi, NCUI Chairman Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Nafscob Chairman Dileep Sanghani, National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited Chairman Mangal Jit Rai, RBI Central Board Director Satish Marathe and Nafcub Chairman Jyotindra Mehta will be its members and Sahakar Bharati National General Secretary Uday Joshi will be its member secretary.
The formation of the forum is yet to be officially launched.
