District offices of RSS oriented Sahakar Bharati in Karnataka are presently going to the polls. There are around 22 districts in Karnataka where the process of election is in progress.
Mahanagara District has elected unopposed a fresh batch of 25 executive committee members.
Uday Souharda Credit Cooperative Limited Director Shiv Shankar has been elected as the president replacing Gundurao. Acharya Souharda Credit Cooperative Limited President Krishna Murthy Acharya was elected as the Vice-President replacing Rengath Rao.
The well-known cooperator from Karnataka and founder Chairman of Gnana Shale Souharda Credit Cooperative Limited Sridhar N. Rao could not make to the board. He was earlier the chief secretary in the society.
Before the election, CAMPCO President Satish Chandra and Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative President Krishna Reddy addressed more than 80 delegates assembled there.
Satish Chandra who doubles as the state organizing secretary of Sahakar Bharati’s Karnataka Chapter listed the achievements of Sahakar Bharati. Krishna Reddy talked about various services which cooperatives are providing to the common people.
Sahakar Bharati Bangalore Mahanagara District has around 450 members’ societies affiliated to it. The unit was formed with a view to highlighting issues related to the cooperative sector as also getting those issues addressed by the government.
