Among other things, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at ICAR in Delhi, dwelt on one of the finest products produced by the cooperative sector- Nano Urea and exhorted farmers to use it extensively.
An excited IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi thanked Prime Minister profusely for this support through a series of tweets. Awasthi said the PM’s speech touched the core of the idea behind Nano urea.
It bears recalling that IFFCO, the largest fertilizer cooperative in the world, is the producer of Nano Urea and its availability for the farmers has been the dream of its MD Dr U S Awasthi.
PM in his speech said India is rapidly moving towards self-sufficiency in liquid Nano urea production. Shri Modi pointed out, “Nano Urea is a medium to produce more with less cost.”
Stating its benefits, the Prime Minister said that a sack full of urea can now be replaced by a single bottle of Nano urea. He further added that the transportation costs of urea would go down significantly. Later the Prime Minister visited the stalls where IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar could be seen showing him the stuff and explaining their virtues.
