While attending the inauguration of the birth centenary celebration of Nanaji Deshmukh at IARI at Pusa in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited an exhibition ”technology and rural life” showcasing various schemes and initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development reports Orissadairy.com.
Addressing a huge gathering on the occasion, Modi fondly remembered Lohia and Jaiprakash Narain who shunned power politics and devoted themselves to working for the nation. Modi said Nanaji Deshmukh also preferred to devote himself towards rural development and making our villages self-reliant, and free from poverty.
The prime minister also underlined the critical importance of cleanliness in transforming India on this occasion.
