HT reports Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik recently offered a package of Rs 11 crore for 120,000 dairy farmers, registered under Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (OMFED).
Every farmer will be given a maximum of Rs 6,000 under the scheme to buy fodder.
Patnaik said dairy farming played a crucial role in the rural economy and was a great source of livelihoods of small and marginal farmers.
