Gujarat BJP President CR Patil will inaugurate the Surat District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (Sumul Dairy) Ice-Cream cone making plant at Navi Pardi village in Kamrej Taluka in Surat district today on Thursday, which will produce 3 lakh cones daily.
Patil will also inaugurate the ice-cream manufacturing unit of Sumul Dairy, with a capacity of 1 lakh litre per day, which has been built at a cost of Rs 125 crore.
On this occasion, Banas dairy Chairman and Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Cooperation Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma, Sumul Dairy Chairman Mansinh Patel, board of directors, GCMMF Chairman Shamalbhai Patel, MD Jayen Mehta and others will be present.
Sumul dairy collects more than 18 lakh litres of milk dairy farmers in Surat and Tapi districts association with 1200 milk societies.
Sumul is one of the 17 district unions associated with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the marketer of the Amul brand of products.
