The Bombay high court’s Nagpur bench has asked Calcutta high court former chief justice JN Patel to probe into a Rs 150-crore Nagpur District Cooperative Bank scam, reports, HT.
It is worth mentioning that former minister and Congress leader Sunil Kedar is the bank’s chairman and the main accused in the scam. The issue has been lingering since 2002.
Patel will replace former principal district and sessions judge Subhash Mohod who has not been able to submit the probe report on time because of his ill health.
