Odisha government has set a target to distribute Rs 19,319 crore in short-term agricultural loans to farmers through primary agriculture cooperative societies (PACS) during the current Kharif season.
Official sources say the government will give Rs 9,000 crore loans through a short-term cooperative credit structure.
The PACS being the last mile lending institution has been disbursing around 62 percent of the total crop loan disbursements in the State.
