In a momentous celebration of Republic Day, the Government of India extended a warm welcome to the Chairpersons of approximately 250 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and their spouses, hailing from 24 States and 2 Union Territories.
Positioned as “Special Guests,” they were honored spectators at the Republic Day Parade 2024 at Kartavyapath. Following this, the distinguished guests actively engaged in the patriotic fervor of “Bharat Parv” at the iconic Red Fort in the capital.
The Ministry of Cooperation, led by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah, spearheaded the ambitious “Computerization of PACS” initiative, allocating a total financial outlay of Rs. 2,516 Crores to digitize 63,000 PACS.
Union Minister of State for Cooperation Shri B.L. Verma, during a pre-Republic Day interaction and dinner, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to fortifying the cooperative sector.
This event serves not only as a remarkable celebration but also as a testament to the success of the PACS Computerization Project, inspiring renewed dedication towards the vision of “Sahakar se Samriddhi.”
