Opposition parties in Odisha accused the BJD govt. of sitting tight over massive irregularities committed in appointment of Data Entry Operators and administrative spending in the Baleswar-Bhadrak Central Cooperative Bank (BBCCB), reports Pioneer.
However, Cooperation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain told the state assembly that the investigation report of the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies (DRCS) has not referred to massive irregularities in the bank.
One of the opposition law makers alleged in the House that there is a kickback involving about two crores of rupees.
However, BJD members spoke highly of the State Government taking steps to provide support to farmers through cooperative banks. They urged the Government to implement the Baidyanath Committee recommendations soon.
