According to banking ombudsman Patrick Barla, there has been an enormous spurt in the number of complaints brought against cooperative banks in both Bihar and Jharkhand.
The complaint math is frightening in that there are hundreds of complaints awaiting consideration by ombudsman, said Barla. Patrick Barla was speaking in Ranchi.
The spike in complaints against cooperative banks could be attributed to the twin factors of greater awareness among bank customers and ATM/credit and debit card related problems, remarked Barla.
The banking ombudsman was set up by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1995 and its main aim is provide a platform for the aggrieved consumers.
WHY only “Ombudsman”? WHO is happy with Co-operative Banks?
It’s directors for whom it is a source of Pawar,Money and every thing they want at the cost of un-informed trust holders of USBs. The Mechanism to bring them to books much faster than as of now, needs battery of “USB Scam Fast Track Courts”. A large number of criminals could be prevented from entering the LOK-Sabha at a later date. UCBs seems to have become a Corruption Training School (रुश्वतखोरी की पाठशाला), when on one hand the Cooperatives have been hailed by no less than (the 20th Century Coopertaive Satrap)Shree Sharad Raoo Pawarji in these words namely:”The co-operative sector, over the years, has made significant contribution to various sectors of national economy and has achieved voluminous growth.” -These are opening remarks in the Statement of objects and reasons signed by himself on 11-11-2009 and placed on the table of the august House of People (लोकसभा) embarking on a Historical Parliamentary Action of the Century, to reform Indian Cooperative Movement through constitutional reforms The Constitutional (111th Amendment Bill 2009.
