Odisha govt has instructed cooperative credit entities to ensure disbursal of Rs 2,000 crore loan for kharif crops as soon as possible, reports New Indian Express.
The State Government would like Rs 7,500 crore to be distributed as crop loans to farmer members of the primary agriculture cooperative societies (PACS) and large-scale multi-purpose cooperative societies (LAMPS) during 2020 kharif season.
Odisha Cooperation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain instructed Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB) to offer at least 10 per cent of the total loan to joint liability groups of farmers.
