CPI (M) has expelled 10 members from the party for working together with BJP in cooperative elections in East Medinipur, West Bengal, reports a news outlet.
The elections were held in early November.
A CPM leader is quoted as saying his party and the BJP are as different as they could be in their ideologies, so the question of alliance does not arise.
However, sources say there are several instances where both parties have joined together to defeat TMC.
