Addressing the annual function of North-Ex Cooperative Society in Delhi, Governor of Haryana Kaptan Singh Sloanki said the gap between poor and rich can only be narrowed down by strengthening the Cooperative Movement in India. He appreciated the work of the cooperative society inspired by the slogan“together with all, development for all”.
Nearly five thousand members attended the program.
Ashok Thakur, Director, NAFED and President of the society said the society has displayed the strength of small savings and cooperative together. He said the society is organizing various social activities such as “Swachhhta Abhiyan” and other environment related activities.
The society awarded a “Swachta doot” to six honest and best safai karamcharis, four individuals and various associations working in the area. Ten other awards were also conferred on the members of the society for their active contribution in the field of micro finance.
Several dignitaries attended the function.
