Kerala govt has initiated consultations with primary agricultural credit cooperative societies to get their support for establishing the Kerala Bank, reports New Indian Express.
Word is that efforts are being made to enlist the support of non-banking cooperative societies for the Kerala Bank as well.
Sources say the consultations are not only intended to address their possible fears and concerns but also explain to them the benefits they can derive from joining the proposed bank.
There are reports that most of cooperative banks and district cooperative banks have positively responded to the proposal.
