The election of Delhi State Cooperative Bank is underway and candidates can file their nomination papers from today onwards, for the election slated for 2nd June 2024.
At present, the high profile cooperator and Nafed Chairman Bijendra Singh is heading the Delhi State Cooperative Bank.
The last date for filing nomination papers is 20th May 2024 and the final list after scrutiny and withdrawal will be published on 22nd May 2024.
The bank’s board consists of 11 directors out of which two representatives of Urban Thrift & Credit Cooperative Societies, three from agricultural credit/non agricultural credit societies, a representative from weavers (Handloom) cooperative societies, one each from consumer stores/housing co-op societies and Industrial cooperative societies.
The two seats are each reserved for a representative of other backward class cooperative societies and SC/ST cooperative societies. A seat is also reserved for women cooperative societies excluding Delhi State Women Cooperative Marketing & Service Federation.
AK Kaushal was appointed as the returning office to oversee the election process. Delhi State Cooperative Bank has a business mix of more than Rs 2200 crore and has a network of 50 branches in Delhi.
