Gujarat High Court has rejected an appeal made by Vipul Chaudhary on the issue of State’s order to recover Rs 42 crore from him, reports Ahmadabad Mirror.
It bears recall that Chaudhary has been facing a series of actions by State government for alleged irregularities in Mehsana District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union. The issue was extensively discussed in these columns in the past.
He had to step down as chairman of the dairy following SC ruling last year. He was barred from contesting elections of the cooperative society. Chaudhary has been accused of siphoning of Rs 42 crore from the dairy fund.
