Karnataka High Court has directed the Karnataka State Cooperative Election Commission not to declare results of the upcoming election to the Board of Directors for the Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, Hindu reports.
A Division Bench has passed the interim order while hearing an appeal that questioned interim order of a single judge, permitting MLA G.T. Deve Gowda to contest the elections.
Though the Division Bench has not interfered in the single judge’s decision of directing the commission to accept Mr. Gowda’s nomination papers and directing the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to include his name in the eligibility list, it has restrained the declaration of results.
Mr. Gowda’s nomination papers had earlier been rejected.
