Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar recently inaugurated the anti-polythene campaign launched by Biscomaun in the state. Actually, it was Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh’s idea to distribute eco-friendly bags among farmers in order to make Bihar a polythene free state. Many Bihar watchers say Biscomaun’s anti-polythene campaign will serve as a desirable model.
Sunil Singh had earlier met the state chief minister and apprised him of the efforts being made by Biscomaun to beat the menace of plastic bags in the state. The report is that the use of polythene bags has been banned in Bihar.
Biscomaun will distribute one lakh eco-friendly bags among the farmers of the state. The Chief Minister praised the efforts of Biscomaun.
Earlier, State Cooperative Minister Rana Randhir Singh had also lauded the drive started by Biscomaun.
It may be noted that despite several odds, Biscomaun is providing urea to the farmers in Bihar at the cost of Rs 265 per bag.
