In a significant development, former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporator Uday Joshi and his son Mayuresh, who operates the Shriram Gas Agency, are facing a Rs 77 lakh loan fraud case, reports the HT.
The Pune city police have registered an FIR against the duo, along with two individuals identified as Ramling Shivagane (treasurer) and Ashok Kulkarni (secretary) from Ninad Urban Cooperative Credit Society.
The complainant, Tanaji Dinkar More, alleges that Joshi and his father misused his job-related documents to secure a loan in 2019. The accused reportedly failed to repay the loan, prompting the bank to issue a recovery notice.
