National Highways Authority felicitated Uralungal Labor Contract Cooperative Society for developing the national highway into six lanes in more than 20 reaches in Kerala, at a function organized in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Authority Chairman Santhosh Kumar Yadav presented the Best Performer Award to the Uralungal Society Chairman Ramesan Paleri.
On this occasion, National Highways Authority Member (PPP) Shri Venkita Ramana, Chief General manager (Tech) Shri Rajneesh Kapoor, Regional Officer B L Meena, ULCCS Managing Director Shri.Shaju S, Concessionaire Representative Shri. Kishor Kumar T K, Senior Project Manager Shri Narayanan and others were present.
The six laning of Talapady to Chengala section of NH-17 being constructed by the Uralungal Society will be the first to be completed in the state of Kerala on Hybrid Annuity Mode under Bharatmala Pariyojna.
In this northernmost reach of the state, 36 out of 28.5 km of six-lane road, 66 out of 60.7 km of service road and 76.6 out of 73 km of drain line have been completed.
