According to Nepalese media reports the Agriculture Cooperative Central Federation from Nepal, a partner organization of FAO, has won first place for its efforts to enhance the living standards of local communities.
The co-op fed has earned laurels for promoting sustainable agri-food
systems, protect biodiversity and address the consequences of climate change.
The FAO Awards Selection Committee chose the Nepalese cooperative for the award for its excellent work in various fields.
The prize-giving ceremony was held at FAO’s headquarters in Rome on April 24.
