NCUI is leading a delegation of cooperators to meet the officials of NITI Aayog today on Friday. NCUI President and Rajya Sabha member Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav would be leading this delegation comprising of several cooperators.
Besides Chandra Pal, those who are going to be part of the delegation includes Chief Executive N Satyanarayan, K Sivadasan Nair, Dileepbhai Sanghani, GH Amin and a representative of ICA A-P.
Talking to Indian Cooperative NCUI Chief executive N Satyanarayan said that being the apex body of the cooperative movement in the country NCUI would try to convey that it is capable of taking care of the training needs of the cooperators in the country. “The meeting would mostly be focused on policy matters and vision of NCUI”, Satyanarayan added.
Earlier, NCUI sought input from various sectors of cooperative movement which include-rural credit, urban co-op bank, fertilizer co-operative, fisheries, housing co-op, dairy co-op, sugar co-op, among others.
Niti Aayog would be represented by its CEO Rajeev Kumar. “We would be talking about both long term and short term goals. We want to convey that the co-operative sector is a partner in the economic growth of the country”, underlined Satyanarayan.
A couple of days ago in Pune, Sahakar Bharati Patron Satish Marathe has also called upon Niti Aayog to make co-op its partner in the growth story of the country. The statement was widely covered in media due to the fact that Marathe is held close to the govt of the day.
