Speaking at the AGM of NCUI, Maharashtra based Shree Ravalnath Co-op Housing Finance Society Chairman M L Chougule advocated for giving awards to the best performing multi state cooperative societies.
Chougule said, “In Maharashtra, the federation distributes awards to co-op societies which helps in promoting quality & efficiency. It also encourages healthy competition among the co-operatives in Maharashtra. On the same lines the National Co-operative Union of India should start awards, based on performance of Multi-State Societies to create healthy competition and promote quality”.
“The award may be in the form of a cash prize of Rs.51,000/- and a memento”, he suggested.
On this occasion, he also suggested giving air ticket facilities to those delegates of co-operative institutions, which are 1000 km away from New Delhi.
