The Cooperative fair which was organized by the NCUI at its premises has become a big hit among visitors.
Though the fair was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Co-ops BL Verma, Amul MD R S Sodhi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation Abhay Kumar Singh (IAS) Fashion Design Council of India President Sunil Sethi, and other leaders also visited the fair.
“It was a nice experience and we are very thankful to NCUI for this. We had registered participation of visitors beyond our expectations at our stall. Hope in future also the apex body of co-ops will take us as our partner”, said one of the stall managers on the last day of the fair.
The fair which was dolled up like a bride concluded on 20th November 2021. The fair has been designed and managed in a manner to resemble India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan.
NCUI had taken a historic initiative to provide a platform for small co-ops and SHGs to showcase their products.
The stalls of Amul, Kribhco, Nafed, NCCF, IFFCO, Campco one of the subsidiaries of IFFDC, and 70 other stalls had been set up where artists, SHGs, and cooperatives from 20 states displayed their exotic products like ethnic fabric designs, artificial pieces of jewellery, bamboo products, woodcraft, and other fancy items.
