The National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) Employees Welfare Association held its elections on August 22, 2024, at the NCUI premises, where Uday Pratap Singh was elected President while Ram Mohan Singh and Inderpreet Kaur were elected as Vice Presidents.
Shravan Raghuvanshi was elected General Secretary, Ramesh Chand Pandey as Joint Secretary and Neeraj Thapliyal as Treasurer. Those elected as Members included Ram Kumar, Arun Kumar Kanswal, Laxman Prasad and John Minton.
The newly elected management committee members will oversee the association’s activities and address employee welfare concerns in the upcoming term.
Speaking on the occasion, President Uday Pratap Singh expressed his commitment to addressing employee issues and grievances effectively. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration, stating, “The association will take up the issues and grievances of the employees to the management in the best possible way with united efforts, while seeking guidance from senior NCUI officers as needed.”
General Secretary Shravan Raghuvanshi highlighted the association’s broader objectives amid the current NCUI scenario. “We will work not only for the welfare of our members but also discuss issues and propose solutions for the development and growth of the organization,” he said.
Extending his best wishes to the newly elected committee, Ved Prakash Setia, Executive Director of NCUI and outgoing Vice President of the association, expressed hope that the team would contribute significantly to employee welfare.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Vice President Ram Mohan Singh. Dr. V.K. Dubey, Advisor at NCUI, served as the Returning Officer for the elections.
