National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC)’s MD Sundeep Nayak who also doubles up as the Chairman of Indian Potash Limited IPL has been active ever since the spectre of the Coronavirus began looming over the country.
The two co-operative related bodies- NCDC and IPL have together made an impressive contribution of Rs 11 crore to the PM Cares Fund on Tuesday.
Soon after making the donation, Nayak through the handler MD@NCDC tweeted “We in NCDC and in IPL are inspired and guided by your great leadership @narendramodi @PMOIndia, @nstomar our humble effort to fight #coronavirus and assist.”
MD’s tweet immediately attracted the attention of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar who hailed both NCDC and IPL for their contribution.
Tomar tweeted in chaste Hindi “NCDC and IPL have jointly decided to contribute Rs 11 crore to the PM Cares Fund; Congratulations!”
Earlier, Sundeep Nayak gave detailed reports of various activities undertaken by the IPL and NCDC in spreading awareness about the Corona virus.
In one of his tweets,the MD wrote “Indian Potash Limited IPL, a company promoted by top coops, is spreading Covid-19 awareness msg in rural areas and among farming community. Kudos team Dr PS Gahlaut, MD, IPL.”
The MD also posted several photographs of IPL team active in rural areas including agricultural fields, spreading awareness among farmers.
