Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will address the General Council meeting of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the NCDC headquarters in Delhi.
The General Council of NCDC consists of 51 members to lay down broad guidelines for achieving the objectives of the NCDC.
The meeting is likely to be attended by key officials, including Union Cooperation Secretary Ashish Bhutani, CRCS Rabindra Agarwal, NCDC Managing Director Pankaj Bansal, NCUI President Dileep Sanghani, and several other members of NCDC’s Governing Council.
As a pivotal event for the cooperative sector, the meeting is expected to feature strategic discussions on the growth and future roadmap of cooperative lending in India. NCDC’s role as a premier institution supporting and strengthening cooperative enterprises will take centre stage in the discussion, sources add.
Discussions will also likely include a review of NCDC’s performance during the 2023-24 financial year and plans for its future initiatives to drive the cooperative movement forward.
